Dear Sterling Morton Elementary Families,
Welcome to a brand-new school year! My name is Jessica Bendele and I am so excited and honored to serve as the new President of the Sterling Morton Elementary PTA. Our PTA is dedicated to supporting our students, families, and staff, and I can’t wait to work together to make this a memorable and successful year for everyone.
Throughout the school year, the PTA will be hosting a variety of fun and family-friendly events, including, but not limited to, Trunk or Treat, Skating Party, Bowling Party, Paint Night, and Bingo with Chinese Raffle Nights!
We also host two Scholastic Book Fairs and a Holiday Shop for the students!
These activities wouldn’t be possible without the time, talents, and support of our amazing families—we truly need your help to make them happen! We welcome all families to join our monthly PTA meetings! All meetings are held at 6:30pm at Sterling Morton Elementary. Our next meeting is September 17. Be sure to mark your calendar! All of our meetings can be found on our website, we hope to see you there!
In addition, we have some exciting fundraisers happening now including Classroom Box Tops Competition, Fall Fundraiser (starting soon!) and Spirit Wear Sale!

If you’d like to volunteer for events, please remember that all volunteers must have a completed background check through the Board Office. More information is available on our website (Sterling Morton PTA Website). Keep an eye out for the Homeroom Helper Sign-Up Sheet if you’d like to assist with classroom parties, and watch for our Google Doc volunteer sign-up coming soon for opportunities through December.
